That’s according to Football London, who claim that Arsenal are ready to offload Leno at the end of the season.
It’s claimed that Newcastle hold a real interest in signing Leno this summer as they look to sign a new goalkeeper.
With question marks over Martin Dubravka’s future we could soon see Newcastle splash the cash on a new stopper.
Leno has Premier League experience and will be desperate for a starting role somewhere having fallen out of favour at Arsenal.
Newcastle will certainly have cash to spend thanks to PIF and may be able to invest some of that money into signing Leno this summer.
Newcastle may like the German after his ‘magnificent’ display against them last season, but they aren’t alone in chasing Leno though.
It’s stated that Leno’s former club Bayer Leverkusen – the club who sold Leno to Arsenal in 2018 – want to bring Leno back to the club.
Leverkusen do already have a number one stopper in Lukas Hradecky but seemingly fancy bringing Leno back to the Bundesliga.

Arsenal paid £19million to sign Leno and may be looking to recoup their cash in order to let the German leave this summer.
Newcastle seem more likely to pay that kind of fee than Leverkusen given that they will likely have a bigger budget.
Arsenal have already secured a replacement for Leno with New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner set to arrive this summer.
The path is seemingly clear for Leno to leave Arsenal, but his destination is unknown with Newcastle now facing something of a fight for a summer deal.
