Antonio Cassano has criticised Juventus forward and reported Tottenham Hotspur summer transfer target Paulo Dybala, as quoted in TMW.

The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan forward has said that Dybala, linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in the summer transfer window, is not decisive in big games.

CM have reported that Tottenham want to sign the 28-year-old Argentina international, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a forward, on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

Juventus have said that talks over a new contract with Dybala have broken down, and that the Argentine will leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Former Italy international Cassano believes that Juventus are doing the right thing by not meeting Dybala’s demands and letting him leave on a free.

Cassano told TMW abut Dybala: “Dybala for me is not a champion, he cannot be a leader at Juventus and if he does not renew the contract with them, it is good.

“I believe that the Bianconeri as a club have given much more to him than the Argentine has given to the team. He has never been decisive in the games that matter. This is why if Juve had offered him €10 million, he would have had to close at €8 million. Then I don’t know if he will go to Inter. I would keep Sanchez.”

Tottenham Hotspur should pursue Paulo Dybala

In our opinion, Tottenham should pursue Dybala despite Cassano’s warning.

Dybala is a very good attacking player who scores goals and would make Tottenham better.

Given that the Argentine can play as a centre-forward, he would take the burden off of Harry Kane.

Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte could play Kane and Dybala together in attack.

Moreover, Dybala would be a free agent, and while his wages would be high, Tottenham would not have to pay a transfer fee.
