Fabio Paratici made his name as Juventus’ Sporting Director, and while he brokered massive deals for the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo, it was his work in the free transfer market that really caught the eye.

Indeed, Paratici, for years, was the master of snapping up players on a Bosman. The likes of Paul Pogba, Andrea Pirlo, Emre Can, Adrien Rabiot, Dani Alves and Sami Khedira were all signed on frees for Juventus during Paratici’s tenure, and they all played a massive part in helping the Old Lady win nine Serie A titles on the bounce.

Paratici has almost been at Spurs for a year, and we’re yet to see him tap into that market in north London, but as the summer approaches, opportunity beckons.

There are so many free agents out there that could catch Paratici’s eye this summer, Pogba is once again out of contract, while Spurs have also been linked with Franck Kessie and Ousmane Dembele.

However, in our view, there’s one potential free transfer that could happen that would be so typical of Paratici.

Of course, we’re talking about a potential move to Spurs for Paulo Dybala.

Paratici knows Dybala well from his time at Juventus, and Spurs have recently been linked with the Argentine.

Fabrizio Romano is led to believe that Dybala will indeed depart Turin once his contract is up, and given Paratici’s incredible record when it comes to snapping up free agents, a move for a player who worked with him for years at Juve would make the world of sense.

Free agent signings are the thing Paratici does better than anyone else, and signing Dybala at Spurs would be the perfect first £0 signing of this new era at Spurs.
