PSG defender Achraf Hakimi could reportedly leave the Ligue 1 club this summer if Kylian Mbappe departs, with the fullback last year linked with Arsenal and Tottenham before moving to Paris.

According to Foot Mercato, the former Inter Milan superstar could be affected by Mbappe’s possible departure from PSG, with Hakimi having a very close relationship with the French international whilst also being distant from other teammates.

As a result, Hakimi could consider quitting PSG, with the defender only moving to the French capital last year in a deal worth a reported £60m according to Sky Sports News, with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham missing out on the Moroccan international.

Both north London clubs were heavily linked with the fullback last summer with Inter open to selling the 23-year-old, yet PSG were the side to win the race for Hakimi, who since moving to France has impressed under Mauricio Pochettino.

The Madrid-born fullback has bagged three goals and four assists in Ligue 1 as PSG looks set to reclaim the title this season, yet despite this, a huge summer of uncertainty is looking over the club following on from their exit from the UEFA Champions League.

Mbappe now looks more likely than ever to leave Paris, and with Hakimi now also reportedly considering his future, there could be some huge changes at the club this off-season, and this specific piece of news should interest Tottenham.

Tottenham could finally land Hakimi if he decides to leave PSG

This summer is shaping up to be a massive one, and if Hakimi does in fact make the decision to leave PSG, Tottenham should be at the front of the queue trying to land the defender one year on from missing out on him to the French giants.

Indeed, Hakimi was incredible under Antonio Conte during their title-winning season at Inter, and if reunited, the pair could cause havoc in the Premier League if the fullback decides to leave Paris with Mbappe this summer.
