Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has praised the Nottingham Forest fans at the City Ground on ITV (8pm, March 20, 2022).
The Liverpool and Portugal international forward believes that the Forest fans at the City Ground tonight were “outstanding”.
Championship club Forest lost 1-0 to Premier League outfit Liverpool at home in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup tonight.
Jota scored the only goal of the match in the 78th minute.

The Liverpool star said on ITV (8pm, March 20, 2022): “Their fans were outstanding.”
Exciting tie
In our opinion, the FA Cup tie between Forest and Liverpool was very exciting.
Liverpool were expected to win the match, and they did so in the end.
But Forest did give Jurgen Klopp’s side a run for their money.
In fact, the Reds could have even taken the tie beyond normal time.
The Forest players, management staff and the fans should be proud of this evening’s effort.
Forest will now look to continue their quest to finish in the Championship playoffs.
As for Liverpool, the Reds have an FA Cup semi-final tie against Manchester City to look forward to.
The Merseyside club are also aiming to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season.
