Arsenal have a number of players making waves out on loan.

Lucas Torreira has been ripping it up with Fiorentina in Italy, Dinos Mavropanos in Germany with Stuttgart.

And over in France, Arsenal duo Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba have been enjoying brilliant seasons with Marseille.

Hector Bellerin is a loanee who Gunners supporters often forget about.

The Spain international joined Real Betis on a season-long arrangement last summer, with Mikel Arteta admitting last September that he had a lot of ‘sadness’ over saying goodbye [Football London].

And for the most part it seems to be a decent loan spell in La Liga, with the 27-year-old defender starting 19 league outings.

However, it seems like he may have struggled today.

The right-back helped Betis to a 0-0 draw away to Celta Vigo in what must’ve been a somewhat decent performance, collectively.

But individually, Bellerin recorded some dicey statistics.

For instance, the defender, who has been on Arsenal’s books for over a decade, lost possession a whopping 17 times this afternoon.

In addition to that, he only managed three crosses in the 90 minutes – and none were accurate.

Bellerin also recorded zero blockages, clearances or interceptions in what seems like a relatively anonymous outing for the Arsenal man.

Is Bellerin coming back to Arsenal?

Long term, he has no future at the Emirates Stadium.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has been a revelation at right-back since replacing the Spaniard in North London.

Bellerin might be coming back once his loan ends, but it’ll be a mere formality.

He won’t be playing under Arteta again, even if the Gunners boss was sad to see him go.
