Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have just landed a boost in their reported chases of a free transfer for Paulo Dybala as Juventus will no longer speak to his agent over a new contract.

That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who report the Bianconeri have now refused to meet Jorge Antun next week. Dybala’s representative was due to arrive in Turin for crunch talks over the forward’s future, with his existing terms due to expire at the end of the season.

Yet the summit is now very much in doubt, after the Old Lady had already postponed their latest set of negotiations fixed for a fortnight ago. Juventus remain open to giving Dybala a new deal, but do not want to negotiate with Antun as they feel he lacks the qualifications.

Juventus’ latest stance is viewed as the likely final act to sever Dybala’s bond with the Serie A side. Their paths should now separate in June, unless the Argentina maestro makes steps to placate the Old Lady. But Antun is a trusted family associate he is unlikely to abandon.

Dybala hand-picked Antun to take care of his career when the playmaker left his previous representative. And without a split soon, it is unlikely he writes another chapter in Turin.

Juventus refuse to speak with Dybala agent as Arsenal, Tottenham eye free move

Juventus refusing to speak with Antun hands Arsenal and Tottenham a boost as the north London rivals eye free transfers for Dybala once the €32m (£27m) star’s contract expires.

In February, 90min claimed the Gunners and Spurs are in open dialogue with his agent and have expressed their interest. Chelsea, Manchester United and City would also be keen on a deal, should the 28-year-old now leave Turin seven years after he arrived from Palermo.

Their positions have surely only improved since, with Calciomercato reporting Juventus left Dybala furious when they delayed talks over his new contract. The Bianconeri also sought to agree lesser terms to the new deal originally agreed in October to tie him down to 2026.

Per TuttoJuve, Juventus’ latest proposal came in at €7m-a-year (£113k-a/w) plus bonuses. A drop from the €8m-a-year (£129k-a/w) plus €1.5m (£1.25m) bonuses that Corriere Della Sera reported the two parties had settled on before club chiefs sought a cheaper renewal.
