Martin Keown has said on talkSPORT (12:49pm, March 18, 2022) that Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Rangers will be under pressure to win against Sporting Braga in the quarter-finals of the Europa League this season.

The Arsenal legend believes that Rangers would have wanted to play against Portuguese club Braga in the last eight of the competition.

And, according to Keown, now that Rangers will face Braga for a place in the semi-finals of the Europa League, they will be under pressure.

Keown said: “For Rangers, I think Braga would have been the one they were looking for. Maybe that puts a little bit of pressure on Rangers now going forward.”

Rangers could win against Braga in Europa League

In our view, Rangers will head into the match against Braga as favourites.

Yes, Braga are a good team, but the way Rangers got the better of Borussia Dortmund and Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League this seasons shows how good they are.

We know how electric Ibrox can be on special European nights, and, in our view, the Rangers fans will play a massive role in the Gers’ quest to win against Braga in the Europa League.

Rangers are also doing well in their quest to win the Scottish Premiership title for the second successive season.

Things are looking very positive for Rangers at the moment.
