Gerstenhaber announced on air at 6pm on 16 March 2022 that he was gearing up to depart Cleveland’s sports radio station 92.3 The Fan.
He then followed up his announcement with a Twitter post, clarifying things for those that didn’t catch it on air.

Today, he reiterated the point. Adam the Bull is leaving on the first day of April – his last show will be that Friday, hence, “this is not an April fools joke” in the above tweet.
“I look forward to doing my final eight shows”, he wrote. Today’s (Thursday, 17 March 2022) and tomorrow’s shows will be solo shows. For his final six days, he will be broadcasting alongside longtime radio partner Dustin Fox.
“It’s been an amazing run and I want to go out strong!!”

Before that, he put in stints at CBS Sports Radio Network, as a play-by-play announcer for the Cleveland Gladiators, and as a sports anchor for Sports Radio 66 WFAN.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies at State University of New York’s Brockport campus. His first job in radio was as a play-by-play announcer for collegiate summer baseball team the Batavia Muckdogs. He held the position from 1999 to 2001.
