Noel Whelan has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Leeds United’s win against Norwich City at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.
The former Leeds player is delighted that the Whites got the better of Norwich 2-1 at home in the Premier League.
Rodrigo put Jesse Marsch’s side in the lead in the 14th minute.
Norwich restored parity through Kenny McLean in the first minute of injury time, but Joe Gelhardt scored the winner for Leeds just minutes later.
Big win for Leeds United v Norwich City
In our view, the win for Leeds against Norwich was massive.
Marsch’s side needed that.
The fans needed that.
It was not easy for Leeds, especially as Norwich scored a late goal, but the West Yorkshire club got the job done in the end.
Leeds are now 16th in the Premier League table with 26 points from 29 matches, four points above third-from-bottom Watford, who have played 29 games.
In our opinion, Leeds are not out of the woods yet and must not get complacent.
After all, Norwich are as good as relegated, and a win against the Canaries at Elland Road was expected.
