According to Mundo Deportivo, West Ham could now sign former Everton man Gerard Deulofeu to replace Jarrod Bowen, who is wanted by Liverpool.
What’s the story?
Well, this would be quite the move for West Ham, as it could set the wheels in motion for Bowen to depart the London Stadium.
Mundo Deportivo believe Deulofeu is interested in coming back to the Premier League, as he found it difficult to leave Watford in 2021.
Interestingly, the Spanish news outlet add that he is a candidate to replace Bowen, with ‘everything pointing’ to an exit for the £22m Englishman.
With 12 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season, West Ham certainly won’t want to lose the former Hull winger.
It was The Times who claimed that Liverpool are keen to sign Bowen.
With Jürgen Klopp at Anfield, few players would be able to turn down a move to the Reds, especially as there’s a good chance of winning silverware on Merseyside.
West Ham can’t replace Jarrod Bowen with Gerard Deulofeu

In our view, Deulofeu is a good player, although he would not be a suitable replacement for Bowen from a stylistic point of view.
Firstly, the Spaniard is right-footed, and tends to cut inside from the left flank onto his stronger side.
Bowen is the complete opposite. He is left-footed, and often comes inside from the right flank.

Deulofeu would be a good option to have out on the left, but if David Moyes is looking for someone similar to his No.20, the Udinese forward is not that man.
Keep an eye on this saga, as anything could happen this summer.
