Ruben Neves is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and there is no surprise to see Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal linked with the Wolverhampton Wanderers star.

Arsenal linked with Ruben Neves of Wolverhampton Wanderers

The London Evening Standard reported this week that Neves is a long-term target of Arsenal.

The Sun reported in February that Arsenal are keen to sign the Portugal international midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Wolves reportedly value Neves at £45 million.

Wonder-goal v Watford

And Neves showed against Watford at Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on Thursday evening why the Wanderers rate him so highly, and why he would be a good signing for Arsenal.

Bruno Lage’s Wolves eased to a 4-0 win against Watford at home last night.

Neves scored the fourth goal in the 85th minute.

The Arsenal-linked midfielder found the back of the net with what BBC Sport described as “a magnificent chip”.

Former Ipswich Town and Charlton Athletic midfielder Holland, who is an ex-Premier League player, was really impressed by Neves’s goal, and so will be Arsenal fans, in our opinion.

The pundit told Premier League Productions: “It’s a thing of beauty from Ruben Neves.

“We’ve seen him score some crackers from distance where he puts his foot through it – not this one.

“This is full of elegance and class. He spots the gap and lifts it over Foster. Great vision and great technique. It’s a fabulous goal.”

Neves was arguably the best player on the pitch.

The midfielder was an imposing figure and make the Wanderers tick.

The Wolves star played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 95.8%, won one header, took 107 touches, made three tackles and one interception, and put in two crosses.
