Is Kara Killmer leaving Chicago Fire?

No, there is nothing to suggest that Kara Killmer is leaving Chicago Fire. In fact, the character’s Season 10 storyline has a lot to offer.

Rumors of Killmer’s departure stemmed from her character’s long-distance relationship with Casey, as fans were wondering if the paramedic may move to be with him.

However, speaking to Parade, showrunner Derek Haas revealed that Brett has a lot on her plate during Season 10:

“She’s [Brett] also going to see her half-sister Amelia and stepdad Scott. Her birth mother’s husband that we haven’t seen in a while is also coming up. Then she’s got some fun storylines coming, too, because we like to see Brett smiling.”

Killmer’s pregnancy rumors

According to Fansided’s One Chicago Center, Kara Killmer is not pregnant, meaning there is no reason for the actor to be departing the show any time soon.

Pregnancy rumors stemmed from the character’s choice of wardrobe on the show, where she could be seen wearing puffy jackets that led fans to believe she was covering her stomach.

However, there is nothing to suggest that Killmer is pregnant in real life, or her character in the show – despite Sylvie having a pregnancy scare back in Season 6.

Brett Dalton’s imminent exit from Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire seems to be moving ahead without Brett Dalton’s character Jason Pelham after Season 10 Episode 14 saw Pelham announce his transfer to House 72.

While no official announcement has been made by Dalton or NBC, Episode 15 of Chicago Fire appears to be progressing the narrative without him.

Furthermore, Dalton posted an update on his Instagram stating that he had been in New York for work and that fans would see why on the TV “soon”.
