Liverpool will complete some unfinished business in the summer and finally sign Fabio Carvalho.

Well, that is the view of former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique.

The Anfield outfit looked set to sign Carvalho on transfer deadline day, from Fulham.

However, despite undergoing a medical with the Premier League side, the Reds ran out of time to get the officially deal done, though Jurgen Klopp said it’d be ‘crazy‘ if there wasn’t renewed interest.

But Enrique is relatively certain that the Merseysiders will finish what they started and bring the Portugal-born playmaker to Liverpool during the summer window.

He told Caught Offside: “The more realistic one is Fabio Carvalho from Fulham. That’s the one I think is going to happen.”

It might even work out better for Liverpool.

The English giants agreed a £7 million deal to sign him in January [The Athletic] but Carvalho is out of contract this summer, meaning that the 19-year-old can walk for free.

If it does happen though, what a place to continue your footballing development.

Between Harvey Elliott and the little-bit-younger Kaide Gordon, Liverpool have a number of extremely promising players in the ranks.

And adding Carvalho to the mix would be very exciting.

Despite his age, the England Under-18 international is already ripping up the Championship, netting seven goals from attacking midfield this season.

And no doubt a manager like Klopp could take him to a new level entirely.
