Alexandre Lacazette has posted a picture of his ankle after seemingly being on the receiving end of a robust tackle from Thomas Partey in Arsenal training. Lacazette teased the Ghanaian on his Instagram story.
Partey has been much improved in recent weeks, even winning the February Player of the Month at Arsenal. The midfielder has been superb, becoming the player many had expected they had signed in 2020.
Meanwhile, Lacazette has also been excellent as he continues to lead the line with the captain’s armband. While he is not scoring regularly, he is crucial to Arsenal’s way of play – as shown against Watford in the 3-2 win.
Arsenal will be looking to make it five Premier League wins on the trot against Leicester on Sunday – but it appears that there has been no let up in training, as Lacazette posted a picture on Instagram of a tackle from Partey.

When Mikel Arteta came in, he raised the standards at Arsenal behind the scenes. There were reports that the likes of Kieran Tierney were growing frustrated at the lack of effort from some in training under Unai Emery.
Now, though, with Arteta demanding more from his players, Arsenal are improving. They train the way they play and it clear on the pitch. The intensity is higher, the work rate is greater.
If it means the odd tackle leaves a player, such as Partey on Lacazette, with the odd knock – then that’s life. The intensity is worth the odd knock.
