Conte’s Tottenham got the better of Everton 5-0 at home in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Doherty started at right wing-back and has a very good game.
The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international provided two assists.
And Tottenham head coach Conte has praised Doherty, who has been on the books of the North London club since the summer of 2020 when he moved from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £14.7 million (The Guardian).

Antonio Conte on Tottenham Hotspur’s Matt Doherty
Conte told Football.London: “[Matt] Doherty is another player who I’d like to underline the improvement and then also we have Emerson.”

Encouraging
In our view, Conte’s comments on Doherty are very encouraging for the Tottenham right-back.
Doherty has been playing as a right wing-back under Conte’s system, and it is clear that the former Chelsea and Inter Milan tactician has seen improvement in him.
Conte has Emerson Royal at his disposal as well at right wing-back, so Doherty have to maintain the level of performance he showed against Everton.
Tottenham are very much in the running for the Premier League top four this season.
