Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have made an offer for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, according to journalist Raffaele Auriemma in Area Napoli.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Ruiz will leave Napoli at the end of the season.
Arsenal have made an offer for the Spain international midfielder, but he is eyeing a move to Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old, according to Auriemma, does not want to move to Arsenal.
Auriemma said, as translated by Sport Witness: “I believe that Fabián Ruiz will leave Napoli at the end of the season. There’s been a proposal from Arsenal, but I understand that the player doesn’t want to join the Gunners. The midfielder is waiting for other offers, be they from Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid.”

In our view, it is a blow for Arsenal , f indeed Ruiz has decided to turn them down.
Now, of course, we know that Arsenal are a massive club and are a global brand.
However, Madrid are arguably the biggest club in the world, while PSG are a very wealthy club who have the likes of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe in their team.
So we can understand why Ruiz would want to move to Madrid or PSG if they make offers for him.
Ruiz has made 20 starts and two substitute appearances in Series A for Napoli so far this season.
The midfielder has scored six goals and provided three assists in those games.
Ruiz has also made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for Napoli so far this campaign
