Martin Keown has urged Leeds United fans on talkSPORT (12:22pm, March 4, 2022) to watch a video of their new head coach Jesse Marsch giving a team-talk to the Salzburg players against Liverpool.

As you can see from the clip on YouTube here, Marsch, who was recently appointed as the new head coach of Leeds, shows a lot of passion and gets his message across to his Salzburg players at half time against Liverpool in 2019.

Arsenal legend Keown has been impressed by the American’s communication, and has urged Leeds fans to watch that video.

Keown said: “I think there’s a YouTube video running of him in the dressing room at Salzburg when they were playing Liverpool in the Champions League.

“Really impressive, if you watch that, listen into it, his team talk. He doesn’t take prisoners.”

Jesse Marsch to save Leeds United?

In our view, Marsch could save Leeds from getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Yes, the American will have to work with the same players as Marcelo Bielsa did, but he could be the new and different voice that the dressing room needs at the moment.

Moreover, injured players such as Patrick Bamford are close to full fitness.

Now, of course, we know that Bielsa is a Leeds legend, and it really hurts the fans that he is gone.

However, in our opinion, the Elland Road faithful need to get behind the players and the new head coach now.
