Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have just received a boost in their quest to win the Premier League title this season… from Manchester City.
Ruben Dias injury potential boost for Liverpool
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola told the club’s official website on Friday that star defender Ruben Dias will be out of action for four to six weeks.
The Portugal international central defender suffered a hamstring injury against Peterborough United in the FA Cup in midweek.
Now, that is a big blow for City in their quest to win the Premier League title for the second season in a row.
And a boost to Liverpool’s chances.
Liverpool are only six points behind leaders City in the Premier League table and have a game in hand.
It’s game on.
City will take on Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on April 10, and Dias could miss that particular Premier League game.
Now, of course, we know that City have a strong squad, but losing a world-class player such as Dias is a massive blow.

The 24-year-old has made 24 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League so far this season.
Some would say that Dias has been better than Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk this season.
We saw with Liverpool last season how missing the best defenders could badly affect a team.
Could City suffer a similar blow?
Liverpool will surely hope so.
