Simon Johnson has criticised Leeds United duo Daniel James and Rodrigo on Twitter while watching them in action against Leicester City.

James and Rodrigo were in action for Leeds in their Premier League game against Leicester away from home at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds lost 1-0.

Harvey Barnes scored the only goal of the match midway through the second half.

Former Manchester United player James is a winger by trade, but he was deployed upfront.

Rodrigo was playing behind him in the number 10 role.

Former Leeds player Johnson was not impressed with either player.

You can see his tweet below.

How did Daniel James and Rodrigo play?

Leeds did well against Leicester, but one bad moment defensively cost them the three points.

Under new head coach Jesse Marsch, Leeds looked defensively more solid and better than they were under Marcelo Bielsa.

Rodrigo did well in the number 10 role and made some good passes, but he was poor when it came to finishing off the chances that he got.

Now, we know that James is not a natural striker, and we cannot really expect the Wales international winger to score like Patrick Bamford does.

The winger did make his presence known to the Leicester defenders, but he could not really hurt the Foxes.
