Callum McGregor admits Celtic have ‘struggled’ for results against Livingston, especially when away from Parkhead, but have a game plan to win on Sunday, via the Glasgow Times.
The Bhoys travel to the Almondvale Stadium this weekend looking to retain their lead atop the Premiership table. Rangers can slash the three-point gap if Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side beat Aberdeen on Saturday. But the Hoops also have a superior goal difference by 10.
Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou will want some breathing room between the Old Firm rivals and not rely on goal difference. He will also want to maintain the Bhoys’ unbeaten streak, having now gone 23 games without a defeat. The Hoops have not lost since September 19.

Livingston were the last team to get the better of Celtic during a Premiership match. David Martindale’s men claimed a 1-0 win at home to the Bhoys in September. They also held the Hoops to a 0-0 draw at Parkhead in October, despite allowing 16 shots, per WhoScored.
Only Rangers, Livingston, St Mirren and Hibernian have kept Celtic from scoring in a league fixture so far this season. Livi are also the only team to shut Postecoglou’s men out twice.
McGregor admits Celtic have ‘struggled’ but have Livingston game plan
McGregor admits Celtic have ‘struggled’ for results against Livingston but has explained how Postecoglou hopes to win on Sunday. A win at the Almondvale Stadium on Sunday will be the Bhoys’ first three-points on the road to Livi since winning 2-0 back in March 2006.
“We have kind of struggled to pick up results [against Livi] especially away,” he said. “So we just try to implement the game model that we want. We will look at it over the next couple of days, anticipate what they will do and try to come up with a game plan to beat that.”

Livingston have beaten Celtic in two of their five home meetings since losing in 2006. The other three ended as draws, compared to Celtic winning four of seven at Parkhead since.
