Tottenham Hotspur teenager Thimothee Lo-Tutala has travelled for the last two games against Burnley and Leeds United amid an illness for Pierluigi Gollini.
That’s according to Football London’s Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold, who was speaking on his YouTube channel.
Second-choice goalkeeper Gollini has been ruled out of the last two games having fallen ill; it’s unclear whether that’s COVID-19 related or not.
That means youngster Brandon Austin has been offering cover for Hugo Lloris on the Tottenham bench over the last week.
Of course, Tottenham need to carry another goalkeeper in case anything happens to Lloris or Austin.
Alfie Whiteman is on loan at Swedish side Degerfors, so Antonio Conte has been forced to turn to Lo-Tutala as Tottenham’s third-choice goalkeeper.
Lo-Tutala subsequently travelled to the games against Burnley and Leeds United, seeming his first major experience around the first-team picture.
“Gollini was still ill so Austin was on the bench, and Lo-Tutala – who’s only 19 – very exciting for him, last two games he’s been the third goalkeeper, so that’s a massive experience for him,” said Gold.
Lo-Tutala, 19, was born in Paris but actually grew up in Essex and was in the Brentford youth ranks before making his move to Tottenham.

The teenager is believed to be out of contract this summer so this call-up to the first team may aid his quest for a new deal.
With six Premier League 2 appearances this season, Lo-Tutala has been making his way up the Tottenham ranks, seemingly impressing along the way.
Last year, Foot Mercato reported that teams in France and the Netherlands were hoping to sign Lo-Tutala amid claims both Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho thought highly of him.
Lo-Tutala stayed at Tottenham, but faces a crucial few months as his future will soon be decided whilst a spot on the bench for Tottenham’s FA Cup tie with Middlesbrough this week isn’t out of the question.
