Remember Sanchez Watt? The Hale End Academy graduate left Arsenal in 2013 to join Colchester United, but he’s now back in north London.
What’s the story?
Well, the 31-year-old took to Instagram to reveal that he’s now coaching at Hale End, where it all started for him at Arsenal.
Watt told his followers that he was “giving back” to the Gunners on Instagram, while also admitting that his return to Hale End for his first coaching session was one of the best days of his life.
You can see a photo of Watt in Arsenal’s training gear below.
It’s good to see the Gunners looking out for one of their own, giving Watt a platform to further his career in football through coaching.
It’s something Arsenal did when Per Mertesacker retired, and the German has been doing some fine work in charge of the Arsenal Academy.
Hopefully, Watt goes on to be a success in the world of coaching.
Sanchez Watt decision proves Arsenal care

Make no mistake about it, Arsenal are a proper football club – a family, if you will.
Mikel Arteta allowed Jack Wilshere to train with the first-team for months, before he finally found a new home at Danish side Aarhus Gymnastikforening.
The Gunners didn’t have to do that, but clearly, they care about those who played for them, even after they’ve left the Emirates Stadium.

Watt certainly sounds grateful on Instagram, and Arsenal deserve to be praised for their gesture.
The ex-Gunner has been without a club since leaving Wealdstone in 2020, so it’s great to see that he’s now taken his next step in football.
Hopefully, it turns out to be a successful venture.
