John Terry has aimed a dig at Arsenal and Tottenham on his Instagram story by claiming that none of the teams in London are ‘anywhere near’ Chelsea.

The Chelsea legend stated that playing against Tottenham was the London derby he enjoyed the most because it was a ‘guaranteed three points’.

Given that Chelsea are the European champions, at this moment in time, then it’s pretty hard for the likes of Arsenal, Spurs or West Ham to argue, despite the brutality of the former centre-back’s comments.

Added with that, the West London club are also the highest-placed London team in the Premier League – with the Hammers, Arsenal and then Spurs in the next order.

Nonetheless, when Terry was asked on his IG story ‘which London derby did you enjoy the most?’, he issued this response.

“Playing against Spurs,” said Terry. “Guaranteed three points.

“They shouldn’t be called London derbies anymore because none of the London teams are anywhere near us.”

Many are in agreement that Chelsea are the best outside Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, then come the rest.

But, do the likes of Arsenal, West Ham or Spurs feel like they are closing the gap on their rivals in the Premier League?

More of that will be answered next season when Spurs will have their first full season under Antonio Conte.

Arsenal’s thriving young guns will be more experienced and David Moyes will be hoping for more added depth to his squad in the summer.

But, one thing is for sure, a high number of London-placed sides are battling it out for European places and it will be no different next season.
