Pep Guardiola has been speaking to the media ahead of the Premier League clash between Tottenham and Manchester City today.

Interestingly, the Spaniard singled out one Spurs player who makes his side “suffer” every time they face him.

What’s the story?

Well, Guardiola opted to single out Heung-min Son as one man who has caused his Manchester City side plenty of problems in recent years.

As quoted by the Manchester Evening News, the 51-year-old said: “They have a lot of weapons. Son, we suffer every time, with Kane, Moura, they have a lot of quality. The patterns they do, what I saw yesterday and today, they realise.”

Clearly, the former Barcelona boss is getting a bit tired of Son!

In 14 games against Manchester City, the South Korea international has impressively scored seven goals, as well as one assist.

Son has finished on the winning side in seven of these 14 games, which is a decent record when you consider how formidable the Citizens are.

Tottenham can beat Manchester City

In our view, Spurs are going to cause the Citizens plenty of problems today.

Antonio Conte knows how to beat Guardiola, having won two of his four meetings with the Spaniard throughout his career.

Spurs also won the reverse fixture in north London by one goal to nil, in what was the opening game of the season under Nuno Espirito Santo.

That feels like a lifetime ago now.

Nevertheless, Spurs often prove to be a thorn in Manchester City’s side, and we have a feeling they’re going to cause another upset today at the Etihad Stadium.

If they can, it’s going to blow the Premier League title race wide open, as well as the battle for a place in the Champions League next season.
