Premier League duo Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen on Jack Rudoni but the AFC Wimbledon starlet still has a lot to learn, manager Mark Robinson tells South London Press.

He may be far from the finished article but, for a first draft, it’s not bad.

No one in Robinson’s squad has scored more goals this season than Rudoni, his tally of seven made all the more impressive when you consider that he’s a midfielder, not a forward.

A Chelsea supporter who idolises Frank Lampard, Rudoni certainly seems to have inherited the knack of goalscoring from his boyhood hero. There are few young players in the EFL better than him when it comes to arriving at precisely the right time when a ball drops loose in the penalty area.

According to TEAMtalk, scouts working on behalf of Leeds, Wolves and Burnley have all watched Rudoni recently.

The former Crystal Palace starlet is also on the respective radars of Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Swansea and West Brom.

Is Jack Rudoni ready for the Premier League?

“I want to see the best for all the players,” says Robinson, who worked for Wimbledon in a variety of roles before being promoted to the top job a year ago.

“I have worked with them for years and years.”

Robinson is keen to point out that, at Plough Lane, Rudoni is playing the sort of regular first-team football that would be far harder to come by higher up the footballing pyramid.

“Fundamentally, they’re being given a platform that they wouldn’t get at any other club to perform and excel,” the manager adds.

“The youngsters – including Rudi – need to concentrate on being the best player in their position in League One.

“None of them are that yet – they’re just lads with loads of potential.”

Leeds appear to be prioritising a goalscoring midfielder like Rudoni ahead of the summer transfer window. Brenden Aaronson, Red Bull Salzburg’s fleet-footed USA international, remains their number one target.
