RB Leipzig have named their price for star midfielder Christopher Nkunku, who is reportedly being chased by both Arsenal and Tottenham.

According to Sport Bild via Sports Illustrated, the Bundesliga club value the Frenchman at €55m (£46m) following what has been an outrageous season for Nkunku, with the 24-year-old scoring a blistering 19 goals and assisting 13 in all competitions this campaign.

With Nkunku enjoying a career-best season, it is not too surprising that clubs are starting to take note of the Leipzig talisman, with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham both reportedly keen on the 24-year-old according to RMC Sport and Foot Mercato respectively.

With ESPN also reporting that Manchester United want to take Nkunku to Old Trafford this summer, there could be a major transfer battle for the Bundesliga star in the coming months.

Indeed, the midfielder has been in ridiculous form this season, and with Leipzig only valuing Nkunku at £46m, the same fee Chelsea signed Timo Werner for and £9m more than what Naby Keita cost Liverpool as per Transfermarkt, a bargain is potentially there to be had.

Whilst making the leap from the Bundesliga to the Premier League has proven to be difficult for some players, Nkunku’s numbers and the position he plays could make the Frenchman a tempting signing for the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham.

After a season as bonkers as Nkunku’s, it wouldn’t be too surprising if both Arsenal and Tottenham decide to spend big on the Leipzig star, who could offer goals where both north London sides have struggled to see them.

Indeed, both clubs are likely to go big in the summer regardless of their league positions, and for Arsenal and Tottenham, Nkunku could be that marquee signing that gets supporters off their feet ahead of the 2022/23 season.
