Leeds United gem Cody Drameh believes he has found the ‘perfect place’ to hone his trade after joining Cardiff in a half-season loan transfer in January, via quotes by Wales Online.
Drameh sought a temporary move to the Cardiff City Stadium in the mid-season market despite going against Marcelo Bielsa’s best wishes. The Whites boss preferred to see the 20-year-old remain at Elland Road and be a part of his squad after his senior breakthrough.
Bielsa awarded Drameh his first-team debut in the Carabao Cup fourth-round at Arsenal in October. He also followed the outing with minutes at Norwich in the Premier League, while facing Manchester City and Arsenal. The right-back also played at West Ham in the FA Cup.

But despite his 237-minutes of senior action at Leeds and Bielsa’s preference, Drameh felt a loan transfer to Cardiff was the best option for his development during the January window.
Leeds gem Drameh thinks he’s found ‘perfect place’ with Cardiff loan
Drameh has now explained Cardiff boss Steve Morison was influential in his call to leave Leeds on loan. The Bluebirds gaffer made a big play to sign the former Fulham talent and made him feel wanted, while now also helping to get the best from the right-back’s game.
“I think the manager here has brought the best out of me since I’ve been here,” Drameh said. “His desire to get me in was the main reason that I came here.

“As a player, you always want to feel wanted and it seemed like the perfect place for me to come and play. The emphasis has been on being positive and wanting to attack, and he’s filled me with a lot of confidence to go and express myself.”
Drameh has started all seven of Cardiff’s Championship fixtures following his loan transfer from Leeds. He has also featured for a total of 618-minutes with six full 90-minute outings.
The England U21 international made his latest appearance as the Bluebirds beat Coventry 2-0 on Tuesday. He failed to have a direct influence on the scoreline, but provided a first senior assist to stretch the Welsh side’s lead in a 4-0 win over Peterborough on February 9.
