According to Christian Falk, Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in making a summer move for VfB Stuttgart maestro Borna Sosa.
What’s the story?
Well, after Chelsea discussed a deal for the Croatia international in January, Arsenal and Tottenham are now monitoring the situation.
Falk claims the north London duo are considering a summer swoop for the man VfB Stuttgart paid just €8m (£6.7m) for, although he won’t be that cheap.
In January, it was said that the Bundesliga side wanted €30m (£25m) for their No.24, who is consistently impressing over in Germany.
So far this season, Sosa has scored two goals while also providing five assists from left-back – he is the perfect example of a modern day full-back.
Technically, the Zagreb-born defender is superb, and his ability from set-piece situations is a key feature of his game.
Arsenal or Tottenham could sign the next David Beckham

Interestingly, Sosa’s effectiveness from dead-ball situations has earned him a comparison to none other than David Beckham, one of the greatest freekick takers of all time.
It was VfB Stuttgart’s Sporting Director Sven Mislintat – formerly of Arsenal – who made the bold comparison.
As quoted by the Bundesliga, he said: “Borna’s said himself that David Beckham is his role model, and I think he has the same qualities.”

VfB Stuttgart have used a wing-back system this season, so the Croatian would potentially thrive under Antonio Conte, who also adopts that style.
However, we don’t think he’s needed at Arsenal. Mikel Arteta already has Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares, while the Spaniard doesn’t use a wing-back system.
Keep an eye on this saga, as it seems there’s a real chance of Sosa moving to the Premier League this summer.
