Sergio Aguero has confessed that Manchester City star Phil Foden is his current favourite player in world football.

Taking part in a Twitter Q&A, the Premier League legend was asked about his thoughts on the England international, who this season has once again been a key player for the Manchester giants, with Aguero issuing a simple four-word statement on Foden.

Aguero said on his opinion on Foden: “My favourite player now,” a statement many City fans will agree with given the youngster’s incredible talent and potential.

The winger has been in stunning form this season, with Foden scoring six goals in the Premier League alone and bagging nine in all competitions, with the 21-year-old also registering six assists.

With Foden finding the back of the net in last night’s 5-0 thrashing against Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions League, the winger will no doubt play a major role in City’s quest to claim the European title, with Pep Guardiola’s side one of the favourites to go all the way.

Indeed, the youngster has been lauded as a future City legend, and with Foden now winning the seal of approval from Aguero, the winger has the world at his feet for what he can accomplish with his boyhood club.

At 21, Foden is already one of the best players in the Premier League and is well on his way to becoming one of the top names in world football, and Aguero’s praise for the youngster shows just how far the City superstar can go.

Indeed, the attacker has been key for Guardiola over the past two seasons, and Aguero’s comments on Foden prove that City have another legend in the making after coming through the club’s academy and becoming one of the best in the Premier League.
