Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez has issued a warning shot at Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Champions League clash.
Speaking to Amazon Prime via Tuttosport, the Argentine international drummed up the pressure and tension for this week’s massive European fixture, with Inter eager to leave a mark on Liverpool in the opening leg.
The Reds travel to Milan where they will face Inter at the San Siro, where Inter have been in incredible form this season, with Martinez once again reprising his role as the leading man for the Nerazzurri.
The striker has bagged 11 goals in 22 Serie A matches this campaign, though Martinez is yet to score in the Champions League this term, something the attacker sounds ready to rectify this Wednesday.
Indeed, Inter will give the Reds a good match, and when asked about Klopp, Martinez spoke at his intention to cause some damage for the German manager’s Liverpool side, who won all six of their Champions League group stage matches.
Martinez said when asked about the Liverpool figure: “Klopp is a great coach. He will prepare well for this match. We have to be good, hurt him and move on.”
Liverpool should head Inter Champions League warning shot

Liverpool head to the San Siro tomorrow the clear favourites to win the fixture, with the Reds one of two clubs to win all their Champions League group stage matches and Klopp’s side flying domestically.
However, the Merseyside club should heed Martinez’s warning. Indeed, Inter will be looking to go far in the Champions League this season, and they won’t be afraid to take on Liverpool even with the odds lying with their English opponents.
