Tottenham Hotspur youngster Ryan Sessegnon was left shocked by Antonio Conte’s decision to take him off early on against Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to Football.London.
Tottenham suffered a 2-0 defeat to Wolves at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League at the weekend.
Sessegnon, who can play as a left-back or as a left-winger, started at left wing-back against Wolves.
Tottenham head coach Conte was not impressed by the 21-year-old and decided to replace him in the 28th minute.
Football.London have reported that when Sessegnon saw that he was going to be substituted, he was ‘shocked’ and ‘looked extremely dejected’.
The report has added that Conte ‘made a beeline for his player and had a quick chat with him before giving him a pat on his back’.

Blow for Ryan Sessegnon at Tottenham Hotspur
In our view, Conte not being impressed with Sessegnon against Wolves will come as a blow for the youngster.
Tottenham lost the match, and this means that there is now more urgency and pressure on Conte to pick up points and get back on track for a Champions League place in the Premier League table this season.
The former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager is not going to give too many chances now to players who are still struggling.
So, in our opinion, Sessegnon not being able to do what was expected of him at left wing-back will harm his chances in the upcoming games.
