Harvey Elliott has returned to action for Liverpool in blistering fashion, following five months out with a serious ankle injury.
The 18-year-old scored against Cardiff on his comeback, and also delivered an impressive cameo against Leicester on Thursday evening.
Now, footage from the AXA Training Centre shows Elliott doing something quite extraordinary.
What’s the story?
Well, Liverpool posted a training video, in which Elliott made a quite unbelievable pass to Mohamed Salah.
The teenager receives the ball from Naby Keita, but stumbles after taking a touch before falling to the ground.
However, Elliott then – somehow – protects the ball from Ibrahima Konate, before scooping it over the head of Sadio Mane to Salah, all whilst laying on the ground.
You can see the 7-second footage of Elliott’s pass below.
Listen carefully, and you can hear someone say “oh wow” after Elliott scoops the ball to Salah against all odds.
Harvey Elliott could become a Liverpool legend

It is genuinely hard to understand how Elliott is this good at his age.
After a small period of being bedded in by Jürgen Klopp, and a loan move to Blackburn, the 18-year-old has really grabbed his opportunities at Anfield.
Now, seeing as he’s already a valued first-team member at such a young age, we see no reason why he can’t become a Liverpool legend.

Elliott even rejected Real Madrid to join Liverpool, as he’s a huge fan of the Reds (The Athletic).
Therefore, we can’t envisage him ever leaving Anfield unless Liverpool no longer want him, of course.
If he can avoid more serious injuries, we think Elliott will write his name into the history books for Liverpool.
