Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are about to miss out on the signing of Karim Adeyemi to Borussia Dortmund, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Romano has reported on Twitter that Dortmund are confident of signing Adeyemi from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2022.
German club Dortmund are confident of reaching an agreement with Salzburg soon, according to Romano.
This update from the SkySport and The Guardian journalist will come as a blow for Liverpool.
According to Bild, Liverpool want to sign the 20-year-old Germany international striker, who was quoted as saying in TuttoMercatoWEB in December 2021 that his playing style is like Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

Could Liverpool still sign Karim Adeyemi?
In our view, if Liverpool want to sign Adeyemi, then they should not give up just yet.
After all, as Romano says in his tweet, Dortmund have not reached an agreement with Salzburg yet.
So, in our view, Liverpool can still sign the 20-year-old.
If Salzburg want to sell the youngster, then they will surely do so to the highest bidder.
Adeyemi has scored 14 goals in 16 Austrian Bundesliga games and has scored three goals and provided one assist in six Champions League matches so far this season.
