Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Cody Drameh delivered a fantastic performance for Cardiff in their 4-0 win over Peterborough last night.

What’s the story?

Well, Drameh caused quite the stir at Leeds during the January transfer window, when he told Marcelo Bielsa he wanted to leave.

Bielsa informed the media that he didn’t want the 20-year-old to go as Leeds were short of options, although the youngster pushed for an exit regardless.

Drameh was keen to play regular first-team football, and that’s exactly what he’s been getting at Cardiff.

The England Under-21 international has started five games in a row for Cardiff, and arguably delivered his best performance for the Bluebirds so far last night.

Drameh was defensively solid, and showed his attacking qualities with a lung-bursting run forward which is surely a contender for assist of the season.

The £1m man won possession near his own goal, before showing his immense athleticism by running the length of the pitch.

Drameh then picked his head up and sent a perfect cross into Jordan Hugill, who volleyed the ball into the net emphatically.

Cody Drameh was right to leave Leeds

In our view, too much fuss was made about Drameh leaving.

Bielsa arguably threw the 20-year-old under the bus, when all he wanted to do was play regular first-team football, which he wouldn’t have got at Elland Road.

With five Championship starts in a row under his belt, Drameh has been justified in his decision to leave Yorkshire on loan.

Hopefully, the exciting Englishman can work his way into the first-team at Elland Road next season.

For now, let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about his display last night…
