Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has been discussing Harvey Elliott after he scored upon his return from injury.
Elliott started this season brilliantly before picking up an injury against Leeds United that ruled him out for a number of months.
The teenager came back against Cardiff at the weekend, and it’s fair to say it was a triumphant return.
Ferdinand was blown away by the youngster, claiming that the former Fulham man has a huge future.

The pundit was full of praise for the Liverpool starlet.
“I’ve been waiting for him to come back, did you see his dad’s reaction as well? He got that big injury and he wanted to help him back up. I messaged him at the time when he got injured and told him to keep his chin up and whatnot. I think this kid has a huge huge huge future, that’s stating the obvious, but I think he’s going to be one of the standout English players in years to come,” Ferdinand said.
Bright future
Elliott does have a bright future at Liverpool, but he’s not the only one.
Indeed, the Reds have an incredible crop of talents coming through right now. Kaide Gordon and Curtis Jones also look like future stars, while the Reds look likely to land Fabio Carvalho in the summer, and he could be the best of the bunch.
The Reds have seemingly set themselves up to have an incredibly bright future, and Elliott could end up being one of the Merseyside club’s star players.
