Neil Lennon has praised Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin on BBC Sport for his performance against Everton at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.
The former Celtic manager was impressed by Saint-Maximin, as Newcastle got the better of Everton in their Premier League game.
Saint-Maximin was in action for the Magpies and was involved in Ryan Fraser’s goal in the 56th minute.
The 24-year-old French winger was a constant source of danger for the Everton defence throughout his time on the pitch.
The winger took two shots and both were on target, and played three key passes for Newcastle against Everton.
Lennon said on BBC Sport: “I think Alain Saint-Maximin has a touch of the genius about him. He’s got to the by-line and got the cross in in such confined quarters to provide a tap-in. St James’ Park is rocking now.”
The BBC Sport pundit added: “I have run out of superlatives for Allan Saint-Maximin – he just makes things happen. He is unplayable at times. What a player he is – huge for Newcastle at the minute.”

Allan Saint-Maximin a big player for Everton
In our view, Saint-Maximin is one of the best wingers in the Premier League and is a big player for Newcastle.
The 24-year-old produces the goods in each and every game for Newcastle and always gives his best.
Saint-Maximin is a brilliant winger who knows when to shoot and when to pass the ball.
A brilliant dribbler of the ball, the Frenchman is a player who gets the St. James’ Park faithful off their seats.
In our opinion, Newcastle can survive the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season if Saint-Maximin continues to play the well the way he has so far this campaign.
