Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to bring Gavi to Anfield, but the Barcelona midfielder wants to stay at Camp Nou, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Mundo Deportivo have reported that Liverpool manager Klopp has insisted to his bosses at Anfield to get him Gavi in the summer of 2022.
The 17-year-old Spain international central midfielder has a release clause of €50 million (£42.09 million) in his current contract at Barcelona, according to the report.
Barcelona reportedly want to renew the contract of Gavi, who himself wants to stay at the La Liga and European giants and does not want to move to Liverpool in the summer of 2022.
Gavi from Barcelona to Liverpool is unlikely
In our view, it is unlikely that Liverpool will be able to sign Gavi from Barcelona in the summer of 2022.

Yes, we know that Liverpool are a massive club and a global brand, and are very appealing to any footballer.
However, Gavi has come through the ranks at Barcelona and is now a big player in Xavi’s first team team, despite being just 17.
Barcelona are rebuilding under Xavi, who will surely not want to let go of a 17-year-old Spain international who has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in the world.
