Adama Traore made his debut for Barcelona at the weekend after snubbing a move to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, and his performance impressed former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as you can see from his Instagram post below.
Tottenham Hotspur interest in Adama Traore
Traore joined Barcelona on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old winger was strongly linked with Tottenham throughout the window.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Dean Jones told Give Me Sport last month that Traore had agreed to sign a contract with Tottenham until 2026, only for Barcelona to make a late move and take him back to Camp Nou.
Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast last week, journalist Duncan Castles said that the Spain international winger had turned down more money at Spurs to return to Barcelona.
Interestingly, Aubameyang also moved to Barcelona in the January transfer window.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang impressed
The 32-year-old striker terminated his contract at Tottenham’s bitter North London rivals Arsenal and join Barca on a free transfer.
The striker made his debut for Barcelona on Sunday, coming on as a substitute against Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou in La Liga.
However, it was Traore who made the headlines for his dream ‘second’ debut for the Blaugrana.
The former Aston Villa winger started the match and provided an assist, as his cross on the byline was converted by Gavi.
Barcelona won 4-2, and former Arsenal striker Aubameyang was impressed by the performance produced by Traore.
The winger took one shot which was not on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 82.6%, won one header, took 38 touches, attempted two dribbles, made one tackle and two interceptions, and put in two crosses.
Traore wrote on Instagram, as translated from Spanish: “Very happy for the redebut, the victory and for enjoying the Camp Nou again. Thank you for the love you have given me.”
Aubameyang responded: “great game brother.”
