Watford star Ben Foster has told 90min that Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsdale is a world-class goalkeeper.

Foster has outlined the attributes of fellow goalkeeper Ramsdale that makes him world class.

The Watford goalkeeper told 90min about Ramsdale: “At the minute, I think the one that’s out there doing it, proving it and showing it is Aaron Ramsdale. It’s very easy to say that, but he’s actually doing it.

“He is showing everyone that he is world class. He’s got everything to his game, he can make saves, he’s dominant, he plays out from the back and he’s doing it week in, week out.

“You’ll very rarely see a mistake from him, he’s always the same temperament and he looks like he’s a leader as well.”

Aaron Ramsdale is an Arsenal star

Ramsdale joined Arsenal from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021.

Some were concerned that the Gunners were signing a goalkeeper who had suffered relegation with Sheffield United and Bournemouth over the past two seasons.

However, the England international goalkeeper has proved his detractors wrong, and is now one of the best players in Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s team.

The 23-year-old has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper ahead of Bernd Leno and is safe pair of hands.

We think that Arsenal made a great signing in Ramsdale, who, given that he is only 23, is going to get better and better.

Is Ramsdale world class?

No, not yet, in our opinion.

Ramsdale is a very good goalkeeper, but to be considered world class, he has to continue to do consistently well year after year and in major competitions, like the Champions League, which Arsenal aspire to qualify for next season and beyond.
