
Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that he is disappointed that Steve Hitchen has left the North London club.
As announced on Tottenham’s official website this week, the North London club’s transfer guru Hitchen has left his role.
Hitchen was working as the Technical Performance Director at Tottenham and was involved in the recruitment of players for the North London club.
However, according to The Telegraph, Hitchen grew frustrated by his reduced role in the past two transfer windows because of the appointment of about Paratici as managing director of football
Tottenham head coach Conte has admitted his disappointment at the departure of Hitchen.
Conte told Football.London about Hitchen: “With Steve, I had a good relationship. For sure. It’s a pity when a good person, a good man decides to resign.
“And then, at the same time, it’s important to respect the decision of every single person.
“For me, it was good and I enjoy the time we spent together with Steve. He worked a long time for this club and for this reason it’s right to tell him thanks. And now, personally, I wish him good luck for his career and his future.”

Steve Hitchen could swap Tottenham for Everton
The Telegraph have reported that Everton are now interested in Hitchen.
The Toffees, who have recently appointed Frank Lampard as their new manager, are looking at Hitchen to become the club’s director of football.
Everton are reportedly keen on speaking to Hitchen as a replacement for Marcel Brands.
So, it seems that the departing Tottenham official may not be out of work for long.
Conte praising Hitchen so highly in publicly shows the impact that he made on Tottenham.
Italian tactician Conte has been at Tottenham for not long, but even he appreciates the contribution of Hitchen.
