According to Jeunes Footeux, Crystal Palace, Leicester and Brighton are interested in bringing Noah Mbamba to the Premier League.

What’s the story?

Well, the French news outlet believe the Premier League trio are closely monitoring Mbamba, with Crystal Palace said to be most interested.

The 17-year-old is something of a wonderkid, and is already one of the most coveted players in Belgian football.

Mbamba has made 21 appearances in all competitions for Club Brugge this season, and has already earned six caps for the Belgium Under-19 side.

The fact he’s playing two ranks about his age group speaks volumes.

Amazingly, three of those 21 appearances have come in the Champions League, where very few 17-year-olds feature.

Jeunes Footeux add that the Crystal Palace, Leicester and Brighton target is under contract with Club Brugge until June 2023.

In that respect, the Belgian giants risk losing Mbamba on a free transfer in 2023 if they cannot agree a new contract with him this year.

Crystal Palace, Leicester or Brighton could sign a gem

We can’t believe Mbamba is only 17 – he is a first-team regular for a side competing in the Champions League.

Whoever manages to secure his signature will be pulling off a coup.

Interestingly, Football Talent Scout have likened Mbamba to Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany, which is quite the praise.

The 35-year-old always leads by example, and was also a young prospect with maturity beyond his years when at the same age as Mbamba.

There are certainly many similarities between the pair.

Many superstars have emerged from Belgian football, such as Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku.

In our view, Mbamba could be next.
