Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi has taken to Twitter to send a simple but poignant message to Isaac Hayden following the heartbreaking news about the defensive midfielder.

Hayden will not play for Newcastle in the Premier League again this season.

The former Arsenal prospect has been left out of manager Eddie Howe’s Premier League squad.

The 26-year-old defensive midfielder suffered a long-term knee injury against Brighton and Hove Albion in December 2021.

Hayden has released a statement about his omission from the Newcastle squad, and club co-owner Ghodoussi has responded to his tweet.

It is a simple heart emoji, but it shows just much Ghodoussi cares about Hayen.

Heartbreaking for Newcastle’s Isaac Hayden

In our view, it is heartbreaking for Hayden that he will not play again for Newcastle in the Premier League this season.

The 26-year-old is a good player who is an asset for Newcastle, who are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

However, Newcastle made some good signings in the January transfer window.

And, in our view, the St. James’ Park faithful should be confident about the club retaining their Premier League status for next season.
