This is the first major AAA release of February 2022. It’s an expensive month with juggernauts Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring on the way, so it’s understandable that some players are wondering if they should save their money.

Dying Light 2 release time

The Dying Light 2 release date and time countdown confirms that it will come out on PC via Steam at 16:00 PT and 19:00 ET on February 3rd, as well as 00:00 GMT on February 4th.

As for PlayStation and Xbox, the game will unlock at 00:00 local time on February 4th. It is available to preload on all platforms right now.

You can still pre-order the long-awaited sequel and this will reward you with a slew of items.

Dying Light 2 review roundup

The review roundup for Dying Light 2 is mostly positive as it boasts a 77 rating on Metacritic.

DualShockers has given it a 9/10 and proclaim that it offers everything fans loved about the original but with a “bigger story, new features, and a vast open-world”. Meanwhile, PlayStation Universe also gave it a 9/10 proclaiming that it was well worth the wait.

VG24/7 have given it a 4/5 because it’s unique and fun to play, albeit messy and uneven with its potential not fully realised. IGN gave it a 7/10 with a recommendation to not buy it right at launch if you have a short fuse for bugs.
