Alan Shearer has taken to Twitter to send a message to Dan Burn after the defender completed his move to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United from Brighton and Hove Albion on January transfer deadline day.
Newcastle signed defender Burn from Premier League rivals Brighton on the final day of the January transfer window.
The Magpies had to pay £13 million in transfer fees to secure the services of the 29-year-old defender, according to Sky Sports.
Newcastle legend Shearer is delighted to see Burn move to St. James’ Park, and so is co-owner Jamie Reuben.
You can see their tweets below.
Dan Burn would make Newcastle better
In our view, Burn is a good signing for Newcastle and will make the Magpies better at the back.

The 29-year-old is a boyhood Newcastle fan, and it must be exciting for him to turn out for the club that he supports.
We think that it will make Burn extra motivated to do well at Newcastle.
Burn has been very good for Brighton for a number of years now and is at the top of his game at the moment.
We think that for £13 million, Newcastle have made a very good signing in Burn.
