SM Entertainment has started its 2022 global audition process named ‘Kwangya’ for vocal, dance, rap, and acting. If you are wondering how to apply for SM Global Audition 2022 ‘Kwangya,’ here’s all you need to know.
SM Entertainment is home to some of the most successful K-pop groups across generations including but not limited to H.O.T, Shinhwa, Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, TVXQ, EXO, SHINee, NCT, Red Velvet, Aespa and more.

SM Global Audition 2022 dates explored
According to SM Global Site, SM Entertainment’s latest audition for Kwangya 2022 will be open from January 31st to 20th February 2022.
The first audition process will be held online. Followed by this, the second round of auditions will be held at SM Centers across regions.
Candidates who have passed the first round of audition but can not go to the second audition on the site will have the option to attend it through Zoom.
How to apply for SM Entertainment’s SM Global Audition 2022 ‘Kwangya’
- To apply for SM Global Audition 2022 Kwangya, go to sm-global.site.
- Click the = icon on the left side and find the option ‘Apply.’
- Select the application schedule and choose from the given three weeks dates mentioned.
- Select a category you are applying for from rap, dance, acting and singing.
- Enter your full name, date of birth, contact details, country, height, photos, a video of your skill that shouldn’t be longer than a minute, and any video/ website link (not mandatory) to showcase your talent and submit.

According to SM Entertainment’s notice, any person born between 2003 to 2011, can apply for SM Global Audition Kwangya.
For candidates who are under the age of 14, a legal representative of the person must sign the consent form for the audition.
What is Kwangya?
The word Kwangya in SM Culture has been taken from the Korean word ‘Hwangya’ meaning Wilderness. Kwangya is the name of SM Culture’s alternate Universe where the supervillain ‘Black Mamba’ lives that have been introduced in Aespa’s debut single.
