It’s shaping up to be a horrible transfer window for Arsenal.

At one point during January it looked like Arsenal could sign not one, but two major players.

Arthur Melo was reported to be keen to join the Gunners and Fiorentina had accepted a mega-money offer for Dusan Vlahovic.

The latter wound up joining Juventus in Italy and Arthur seems to be staying put in Turin for now.

Arsenal still need a striker – desperately – because Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also looks to be leaving, amid reports that he’s joining Barcelona.

But other players will be departing London Colney too and, according to The Evening Standard, Jordi Osei-Tutu is one of them.

The 23-year-old was recalled from his loan at Nottingham Forest at the beginning of the month following an injury-ravaged first four months at the City Ground, culminating in making only four senior appearances.

However, Osei-Tutu, a right-back, is one of several academy players who wants to leave the Gunners at some point today in search of first-team football, The Standard has claimed.

The report also namechecks Omar Rekik and Nikolaj Moller as potential loan departures, too.

At 23, this will be his fourth loan away from Colney if something materialises today and with his contract expiring in 18 months, he might fancy a permanent transfer.
