Fulham playmaker Fabio Carvalho is now expected to undergo a last-gasp medical with Liverpool after a £10million deal was finally agreed.
That’s according to 90Min, who claim that talks have been ongoing between the two clubs all day in an attempt to thrash out a deal.
It now seems that an agreement is in place, with Liverpool paying £10million and loaning Carvalho back to Fulham for the rest of the season.
Carvalho has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and will now undergo a medical to get the deal over the line.
Liverpool are leaving this very late, and will likely have to submit the good old deal sheet to the Premier League to get Carvalho signed.
Fabrizio Romano backs up these claims, stating that the move is agreed but it’s now a ‘race against time’.
Carvalho is out of contract at the end of the season and may have been tempted to wait it out and have his pick of the club this summer.
Liverpool have been adamant about a deal though and now appear to have got their man with Carvalho Anfield-bound.
Carvalho, 19, was born in Portugal but currently represents England on the international stage, turning out for the Under-18’s.

With seven goals and four assists in 18 Championship games this season, Carvalho has been lightning up the Championship at such a young age.
This deal will leave Liverpool fans thinking back to the 2019 deal for Harvey Elliott, who was also plucked from Fulham with his contract running down.
There is now a real chance that Carvalho and Elliott end up starring in the Liverpool side together for years to come.
Liverpool will hope for no late problems given how close this deal is going to the deadline, but it seems they have secured a superb capture for the future.
