West Ham United are interested in signing Christian Benteke from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
The report in the British tabloid has claimed that West Ham are considering making a bid for the former Liverpool striker this late in the window.
Palace could reportedly sell the Belgium international striker for £10 million.
Would Christian Benteke make West Ham better?
In our view, Benteke would not be a particularly great signing for West Ham.
Yes, the Hammers could do with a new striker, especially as they are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four and are still also in the Europa League.

After all, West Ham manager David Moyes cannot rely on just Michail Antonio for the rest of the season.
But, in our opinion, the Hammers should aim for someone better than Benteke, even if it is this late in the January transfer window and even if the 31-year-old is available for just £10 million.
The former Liverpool striker is simply not prolific.
Benteke has scored four goals in 21 Premier League appearances so far this season.
Yes, the striker scored 10 goals in 21 league starts last season, but in 2019-20, he scored only two goals in the league.
