Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to provide an update on Luis Diaz for Tottenham fans, and it’s an encouraging one.
What’s the story?
Well, Spurs are keen to bring the 25-year-old to the Premier League, and it seems as if they just need to agree a fee with Porto.
Romano believes an agreement regarding personal terms will not be an issue for Diaz or Tottenham.
Interestingly, the Italian journalist adds that the 31-cap Colombia international dreams of playing in the Premier League.
Now, talks are ongoing between Tottenham and Porto, with an initial bid worth around €40m (£33m) already rejected by the Portuguese giants.

The transfer guru does concede that a deal won’t be easy, although the fact Diaz wants to play in the Premier League and his salary demands aren’t problematic bodes well for Antonio Conte.
So far this season, the South American has scored 16 goals in 28 appearances, while also providing six assists.
Tottenham must be wary of losing Luis Diaz

Spurs aren’t the only side trying to sign the Porto No.7 this month.
According to A Bola, Liverpool are also keen on bringing Diaz to England.
Now, that may be an issue for the north Londoners, as Liverpool are the more attractive club at this moment in time.
With Jürgen Klopp at the helm, the Reds can offer Diaz the chance to carry on playing in the Champions League, while also pushing for the Premier League title.

In Tottenham’s case, there is still plenty of work to do under Conte, while Spurs also can’t offer Diaz any European football whatsoever.
One major positive for Tottenham, however, is that Jorge Mendes represents Diaz, an agent who is heavily involved at Spurs.
Could that be the difference in beating Liverpool to his signature? Only time will tell.
